How to pray Warfare Prayers

Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces" Jeremiah 23:29 (NKJV)

In this section, we examine how we can pray the Word of God into our situation to see a breakthrough.

Pray for strength to go through the spiritual battle:

"that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man" Ephesians 3:16 (NKJV)

“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him" Luke 22:42-43 (NKJV)

Ask God to fight the battle for us:

[King Jehoshaphat prayed,] "O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”  2 CHR 20:12 (NKJV)

"Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Also draw out the spear, And stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.”  Psalm 35:1-3 (NKJV)

Ask God for His hedge of protection:

"In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame.
Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me, and save me.

Be my strong refuge, To which I may resort continually
You have given the commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man" Psalm 71:1-4 (NKJV)

[Satan accused God,] "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land"  JOB 1:10 (NKJV)

Declare the victory of the Lord:

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord." Isaiah 54:17(NKJV)

Declare that God’s promises and will cannot fail:

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it
." Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

Rebuke the devil in the name of God:

"And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebukes you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Zechariah 3:2

(NKJV)

"When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”  MARK 9:25 (NKJV)

Bind the devil from working in your situation:

"No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house."  Mark 3:27 (NKJV)

Pray that the demons will flee from you:

"The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways" Deuteronomy 28:7 (NKJV)

Ask God to send His warring angels:

"Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels" Matthew 26:53 (NKJV)

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia " Daniel 10:12-13 (NKJV)

" For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot"
Psalm 91:11-13 (NKJV)

Spiritual warfare against the stronghold of the mind:

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"  2 COR 10:3-5 (NKJV)
